Join Elizabeth Sylvain, Kortni Cowart, and Joey Beso for a 5-night retreat in Puglia, Italy. You'll be staying at a centuries-old Masseria that has been thoughtfully restored and sits a short walk from the crystal-clear, bright blue waters of the Ionian Sea.

We're traveling to the south of Italy — the lower heel of the boot — a region known for its juicy burrata, nonnas rolling handmade pasta in the streets, white conical Trulli houses, sandy beaches, rows upon rows of olive trees, and bold, fruit-forward red wines.Wake each morning to the coastal breeze and spend your days in movement and ease. Your movement practice will punctuate each day with morning and evening sessions of mat Pilates, yin yoga, and meditation.

We'll spend our days driving country roads to local towns famous for their architecture and coastlines, getting our hair wet with dips in the sea and a boat day, using our hands to make pasta with the nonnas who will be cooking our daily meals, and closing the night with an outdoor movie and a glass of wine.

Getting There

Masseria Specula is located near Manduria in the Taranto province of Puglia, Italy. It’s recommended that you fly into Rome (Seattle has non-stop flights on Alaska and Delta) and then onto Brindisi Airport (BDS), which is only 24 KM away from the Masseria. We offer airport transfers from here, unless you choose to rent a car.

Our instructors are comprehensively trained, and each brings a different background to the mat. Between them you’ll find classical Pilates, contemporary progressions, and a touch of yoga-informed movement. What they share is warmth, care for the details, and a belief that movement should leave you feeling stronger, steadier, and more at home in your body. Whatever your experience level, there’s a teacher here for you.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Deposits secure your spot on the trip and are not refundable. Refunds for the balance payments vary depending on timing. For cancellation requests submitted with more than 90 days of retreat date: 100% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. Cancellation requests within 90 days of the retreat will note be refunded. We know that nobody books a retreat with the intention of canceling it, but unexpected events do occur, so please consider purchasing travel insurance. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits will be granted for failure to attend, complete or for arriving late or leaving early.
